Dear <<First Name>>,

Did you know that US $12 trillion could be added to the global economy if women were brought to par with men in pay, participation in labor force, and number of leadership positions? McKinsey’s research speaks for itself. It's an “economic no-brainer.”

So where are the ladies at? What are we doing about it? Well, we at SHE are investing in women across our value chain - from the women farmers who sell us fiber to the women making our go! pads.

And there's more to come as we begin to invest in new overlooked and taboo issues....watch this space to learn more soon!

The SHE & J&J teams came together to present our savvy about sustainable manufacturing to J&J's Worldwide Vice President, Global Corporate Affairs Michael Sneed (third from left).

Rethinking social change as "profitable good"

Is "profitable good" an oxymoron?  The new jumbo shrimp? We don't think so.

We at SHE have found a way to "do good" by addressing unmet and overlooked needs through business, not just by charity alone. What once seemed like a radical idea, is now being seen as good business and is attracting new technical partners for us like Johnson and Johnson.

Now not only do corporate foundations take note of social enterprises, but the R&D and Innovation departments of these companies do too because we can do "profitable good." Read more

SHE's Production Manager Dany Karemera (left) J&J's Dr. Michael Moscherosch (right) are tinkering away at rolling out a new 3-phase production process of making go! pads.

Three is the Magic Number

There are some universal truths that always prove to be true: Third rock from the sun. Hot, warm, cool. Snap, crackle, pop. Now here's another trifecta for you to remember: the three phases of our technical partnership with J&J that will ramp up our output to 100,000 pads/month.

While J&J has provided the technical expertise, now we need you to help us deliver our go! pads to the girls who need them the most. We need your investment for health education, business training, and raw materials (we're talking 2,200 pounds of banana fiber!) Give here

Going Once! Going Twice! SHE wins
